Locked-Up Investment Holders Forum to continue picketing on June 19

The Locked-Up Investment Holders Forum, a group advocating for the release of depositors’ funds trapped in insolvent financial institutions licensed by the Bank of Ghana, will continue their protest on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

Members of the forum will gather at NDK’s premises at 9 AM and then march to the Ministry of Finance.

The picketing at the Ministry will last until noon.

The forum’s convener, Dr Adu Anane Antwi, disclosed this in a statement available to Metro TV.

The Locked-Up Investment Holders Forum has been demanding that the Finance Ministry provide assurances to enable the Bank of Ghana to pay funds locked up in defunct finance firms.

According to Dr Adu Anane Antwi, the Convenor for the locked-up investment holders’ forum, they have been left with no choice but to resume picketing due to the lack of engagement.
