Mahama Ayariga to commission 42 boreholes to constituents

The Member of Parliament for the Bawku Central constituency, Mahama Ayariga, is set to commission a 42 hand pump boreholes to residents of the area.

The project which is distributed among all the electoral areas in the Bawku Municipality would help reduce issues of water crisis within the area.

Beneficiary communities have so far express gratitude to the MP ahead of the commissioning.

Constituents expressed their gratitude to Mahama Ayariga in a conversation with Metro News, revealing that access to clean water has long been a significant challenge in the area.

While affluent residents have managed to connect their homes to the Ghana Water Company Limited’s supply, less privileged households face a daily struggle. Housewives from these homes must travel long distances, carrying basins of water on their heads, to fetch water for their families.

They praised the MP and expressed optimism that the project would finally bring them the relief they’ve been waiting for.
