Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development, Mr. Vincent Ekow Assafuah, has compared the credentials of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to those of Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr. Assafuah noted that while both have served as Education Ministers, Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s achievements surpass those of Professor Opoku-Agyemang.
During an interview with ChannelOne Tv, he highlighted Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s restoration of teacher trainee allowances and payment of debts to special schools and school feeding programmes, unlike Professor Opoku-Agyemang who oversaw the cancellation of these benefits.
According to Mr. Assafuah, Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s track record makes him a better option than Professor Opoku-Agyemang.
