The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reaffirmed Nurein Shiabu Migyimah as its parliamentary candidate for Assin Central in the upcoming general elections in December 2024.
This decision follows a meeting between the party’s national executives, the Functional Executive Committee (FEC), and Assin Central executives, which nullified an earlier decision to withdraw Magyinah’s candidacy due to allegations of immoral acts and anti-party activities.
The NDC’s General Secretary, Fifi Kwetey, confirmed that Magyinah remains the party’s parliamentary candidate for Assin Central, dismissing any rumors of his suspension or withdrawal.
The development comes after the party suspended its Central Regional Chairman, Prof Richard Kofi Asiedu, and Assin Central Constituency Secretary, Sadique Broni Yeboah, for one month over alleged anti-party conduct.
