Odumasi No.1 Chiefs rebel Against Fiapre Chief’s allegiance to Asantehene

The chiefs and people of Odumasi No.1 Traditional Area in the Bono Region are fiercely opposing the decision of the Fiapre Chief to swear allegiance to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

According to the Odumasi No.1 royals, the Fiapre land in question was given to the people by their ancestors and does not belong to the Asante Kingdom.

Abusuapanyin Godlove Kwaku Boating, speaking at a press conference, emphasized that any decision regarding the land must involve dialogue and consultation with the entire Odumasi No.1 community.

The Queen Mother, Nana Yaa Adanse Kuduro II, also stated that the people of Fiapre were welcomed as strangers and given permission to settle on the land, and it is unacceptable for the Fiapre Chief to unilaterally decide to swear allegiance to the Asantehene.

The Odumasi No.1 chiefs and people are determined to follow the matter to its conclusion and protect their ancestral lands.
