Palgrave Boakye Danquah awarded Doctorate in business leadership

Dr Palgrave Boakye Danquah, the government spokesperson on governance and security, completed four years of education at the IPAG business school in Paris, France, with assistance from the Nobel International Business School in Accra, Ghana, to earn a doctorate in business leadership.


The thesis topic of Dr. Palgrave Boakye Danquah’s doctoral studies, “Servant Leadership and Organizational Citizenship Behavior among Public Sector Workers in Ghana: The Moderating Role of Task Interdependence,” was the main emphasis of his work.

Previous academic achievements

Dr. Boakye Danquah earned an Executive Master’s degree in Conflict, Peace, and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) in Accra, Ghana, in 2019 and 2020. This was prior to his recent academic accomplishment.

Under the executive master’s degree program, his dissertation topic was “The Effect of Climate Change on Security in Ghana.” Trinity Theological Seminary in Accra, Ghana is where he earned his Bachelor of Theology degree in 2015–2018.

Work history

Dr. Palgrave Boakye Danquah has been employed by the Ministry of Information as a Technical Advisor and Government Spokesperson on Governance and Security since September 2021. In essence, his job has been to advise and guide the information minister on technological matters.

In addition, he drafts documents for cabinet meetings, acts as a point of contact for stakeholders, facilitates effective communication and teamwork, and creates comprehensive reports, manuals, and documentation to effectively convey findings and recommendations. He also identifies and suggests creative solutions to solve technical problems and boost productivity.

Among his responsibilities include speaking on behalf of the Ghanaian government on matters pertaining to national development, flagship projects, security, presidential agendas, and governance. In meetings, he also speaks on behalf of the Minister and Deputy Minister.

Conferences

He has gone to a number of foreign conferences.

These include the NIBS International Business & Management Conference in Accra, Ghana in 2023; Catalyst for Change in Kenya in 2019 (which brought together 300 national leaders worldwide for a consultation); Converge Global in Goa, India, 2017 (which brought together 200 national leaders worldwide); and Lausanne Younger Leaders Gathering in Jakarta, Indonesia, 2016 (which brought together 1000 younger leaders worldwide).
