Richard Appiah Kubi declares intention to contest Parliamentary seat at Afigya Kwabre South

Richard Appiah Kubi, the head of operations at the Free SHS Secretariat, has announced his desire to run in the NPP primary in the Ashanti region’s Afigya Kwabre South Constituency.

He subsequently tendered his resignation from his post as the constituency’s second vice chairman of the party.

Mr. Appiah Kubi has held a number of additional political posts in the area.

He participated in the recruitment and training committee for polling agents as a member of the 2020 NPP Ashanti Regional campaign team.

He also worked for Afigya Kwabre South as the Youth Organizer, Constituency Elections and Research Officer.

He once served as the KNUST polling station secretary and the TESCON organizer.

Richard Appiah Kubi represented the Nkukua Buoho electoral area in the Afigya Kwabre South Assembly for 12 years.

The Afigya Kwabre South constituency is located entirely within the boundaries of the Afigya-Kwabre South District.

The district was separated from the Kwabre East and Sekyere South Districts on November 1, 2007.

Since the constituency’s inception in 2012, William Owuraku Aidoo of the NPP has served as its Member of Parliament (MP).
