Wofasem Motors supports Up and Shine Foundation

The leadership of Wofasem Motors has supported the Up and Shine Foundation at Kwakyekrom of the Eastern Region with assorted items such as medical supplies, food items, cooked meals, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

According to the company, the gesture forms part of its corporate social responsibility.

Speaking to Metro News after presenting the items to the orphanage, Public Relations Officer of Wofasem Motors, Fred Aboagye Dacosta said the company feels like giving back to the less privileged in society and showing them love, hence their gesture.

‘Wofasem Motors is committed to supporting the less privileged in society and that is what we have shown to these orphans in this Foundation. I was short of words when we got here. These are the people who need us the most because there’s nothing they can do in life without our support and I believe we all have to emulate what Wofasem has done here. It’s a project that we will want to stay’ Mr. Dacosta told Metro News.

The team from Wofasem Motors provided details of the items donated to the UP and Shine Foundation.

‘We gave them an undisclosed amount of money, 50 bags sachet water, 20 cartons of bottle, packs of biscuits, assorted drinks, clothing, food stuffs and cooked meals’, Public Relations Officer of Wofasem Motors said.

The Founder of the Up and Shine Foundation, Reverend Richard Adesah who was grateful for the gesture, promised to put them to good use.

“We are going to see to it that the items they brought will be put to good use,” the founder of the Orphanage said.

Highlighting their challenges, Reverend Richard Adesah said they have a population of about 50, and taking care of them sometimes becomes a challenge.

He added that the help of benevolent individuals and organisations like Wofasem Motors has brought joy to them.

‘“We have difficulties taking care of these children coupled with our huge staff who are on payroll. There was a point in time we owed some money but the timely intervention of the benevolence of an individual saved the organisation from embarrassment,” Reverend Richard Adesah said.
