YEFL-Ghana trains youth groups for national development

YEFL-Ghana , a youth-oriented non-profit organisation has called on the youth of Northern Ghana to take a keen interest in the development of young people in the Northern part of the country.

The call was made at a forum on youth development in Karaga district of the Northern region.

YEFL-Ghana is a youth-focused non-profit organization empowering young people in the Northern Regions economically, politically, and socially to lead change in their communities.

To achieve their intended purposes, YEFL-Ghana has formed youth centers in all the districts they operate, a forum through which talents and aspirations of the youth are developed to achieve the needed goals in their various communities.

Addressing the energetic youth group at Karaga in the Northern Region, the Public Relations Officer at YEFL-Ghana, Yakubu Hamdia touted the achievements of the NGO in youth development, calling on youths from other areas within the five regions of the North to join this laudable youth development initiative in order to contribute meaningfully in developing their communities through the youth centres.

On his part, the Vice Chairman of the Karaga Youth Centre, Alhassan Abdul-Hafiz said the centre is already contributing meaningfully to the development of young people in the Karaga district which includes education, businesses, and even tree planting which he said will help in mitigating the effects of climate change in the district.

Issahaku Basit, a non-member participant of the forum, also spoke to Metro TV, calling on his colleagues and young people to join the youth centers to contribute towards the development of their respective areas.
