2023/24 GPL: Aduana Stars battle Bechem United on Friday

Second-placed Aduana Stars have a date with the resurgent Bechem United at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in Dormaa on Friday.

Aduana FC dropped to the second spot in the standings after suffering a 2-1 loss to in-form Nations FC at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex last Saturday.

The two-time champions are two points adrift of leaders FC Samartex but a win over their regional rivals would move them back to the top of the table temporarily.

Aduana FC have won 2 and lost 3 in their last 5 games. But hold an impeccable home record of 6 wins and 1 loss in 7 home games. They have scored 14 and conceded 4 goals in the process and will be looking forward to grabbing all the points on Friday to keep the pressure on leaders, FC Samartex 1996.

Bechem United are 4th in table with 23 points – only one point behind their hosts. The Hunters are unbeaten in their last 10 games, following 5 wins and 5 draws, and have won 3 and drawn 2 of their last five matches.

Bechem United have won 2, drawn 3 and suffered 2 defeats – having scored 9 and conceded 9 goals on the road.
