Two former champions, Aduana Stars and Berekum Chelsea will clash at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park on Friday.
The host lost their Matchday 3 encounter to Legon Cities at the El Wak stadium and hope to make amends at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park at Dormaa.
Berekum Chelsea are winless in their last two games having suffered a 3-1 loss to Karela United and drawn 1-1 against Accra Lions at the Golden City Park.
Aduana are unbeaten in their last three meetings home games against Berekum Chelsea – following three straight wins, scoring 6 goals and conceding 3 in the process.
In terms of superiority, Aduana are unbeaten at home in their last three encounters. The Dormaa lads won 1-0 in the 2020/21 season, 3-2 in the 2021/22 season, and continued their home dominance over Berekum Chelsea with a 2-1 win last season.
Aduana currently sit 11th in the league table with one win and two losses and coach Yaw Acheampong will expect Bright Adjei, and Isaac Mintah to sparkle upfront this time. The Ogya lads also boast of Richard Tetteh, Godfred Poku Wakii, Bright Enchil, Alex Boakye, and Rich Sackey.
Berekum Chelsea have been slightly off since the start of the League – but aim to break the three-year jinx on Friday. They sit in 8th place in the table having won one, drawn one, and lost one in their first three games.
Christopher Ennin’s side have Stephen Amankona who has scored three goals in three games with Yaw Dankwah, Zackaria Fuseini, Collins Ameyaw, Ahmed Adams, Emmanuel Sarpong, and Ansu Kofi Patrick available to start the game.
The game which is scheduled for 3pm kick off will be broadcast on StarTimes Adepa channel 247 on Friday.
