Music star David Adeleke known in showbiz circles as Davido has confirmed multiple media reports his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke has died.
The ‘Stay Strong’ hit singer says he had plans for his now-deceased son who turned three on October 20, 2022.
“Ifeanyi whyyy. I had plans for you,” Davido posted with crying emojis.
The first son of the megastar he fathers with his fiancee Chioma Rowland, Ifeanyi drowned in a swimming pool at his Banana Island home on Monday.
The tragic death occurred 11 days after his third birthday.
The power couple had traveled for a family gathering in Ibadan on Sunday and had left Ifeanyi with his minders who can’t explain how he entered the pool without being noticed and drowned.
In a bid to rescue the situation, he was rushed to Evercare Hospital in Lekki where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Police have arrested persons present at Davido’s house when the incident happened, we have gathered.
