Nigerian Chef, Hilda Baci Breaks Guinness World Record For Longest Cooking Hours By Individual

Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, has surpassed the Guinness world record for the longest cooking hours by an individual.

The current record holder, Lata Tondon, an Indian national, cooked for 87 hours 45 minutes in 2019.

Hilda who is from Akwa Ibom state, surpassed the record this morning and is set to break a new record of 96 hours. She intends to cook till 4pm today May 15, as Nigerians await the official confirmation by the Guinness Book of Records.

The chef is cooking over 250 recipes in the four-day marathon.

The 27-year-old has been cooking for the past 88 hours and is on her way to setting a new Guinness World Record.

She is cooking for four days and four nights to break the 87 hours, 45 minutes set by Chef Lata London in Rewa, India in 2019.

Hilda now has her eyes set on a 96-hour target for her new record before leaving the kitchen as many Nigerians and Africans cheer her on.
