The President of the Oti Regional House of Chiefs, Nana Mprah Besemuna III, Krachiwura, at the inauguration ceremonies said the traditional council status capps the establishment of any traditional authority, making the inauguration a very important exercise for chiefs.

He, therefore, commended the chiefs and their traditional area for their efforts, saying ‘’ this event climaxes your fight’’.
‘’Our pride is our traditional council and we must all continue to make it work effectively.’’

He added that a great opportunity had been gifted the community and called to use the council to pursue justice, coexistence and development.

Chieftaincy is a sure means of ensuring that justice prevails in our communities. Hence, there is the need for chiefs to use their councils in the promotion of justice and peace which is a critical pillar in the overall pursuit of development.
