The Volta River Authority (VRA) has discarded reports in the media that it has awarded a contract to waste management giant, Zoomlion Ghana Limited to undertake fumigation of communities affected by the controlled spillage from the Akosombo Dam.
In a press release on Monday, October 30, the Authority acknowledged the assistance provided by all sundry to ensure the communities return to normality.
“VRA acknowledges the assistance being offered by institutions, companies, groups, and individuals, and will continue to work with all stakeholders in our relief efforts for the communities impacted by the controlled spillage from the Akosombo dam,” the statement available to Metro TV said.
