Bawumia’s speech can’t resuscitate the economy – Bernard Mornah

The former National Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC) Bernard Mornah says the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s speech cannot heal the country from the economic turmoil.

He said the governing NPP has failed woefully in taking care of the economic aspects of the country and he thinks Bawumia repeating his “lies” will get him more votes.

Speaking in an interview with Metro TV, Mr. Mornah said: “Anyone who wants to believe and trust the vice president is like going to the river and fetching water with a basket, you will come home with no water, therefore, anything he says cannot restore the economic difficulties that we find ourselves in”.

He added, “Bawumia was seated when the president, Akufo Addo appointed all his 125 ministers, he came nodding and applauding without saying anything about it thus he cannot assure Ghanaians of limited ministers”.

Bernard Mornah indicated that nurses, teachers, and other government workers keep complaining of hardship due to Dr. Bawumia’s failure to properly manage the economic affairs of the country.

According to him, he wholly opposes Vice President Bawumia’s desire to become the next president of Ghana.
