‘Betpawa Premier League Fan Engagement Drive’: Kofi Kordzi’s lone strike miracle for 5 Legon Cities fans

It has been varying emotions in the last 2 weeks for fans across the various league centers in the country, since the Ghana Football Association rolled out the ‘Betpawa Premier League Fan Engagement Drive’ powered by the Business African Consulting (BAC)Group to reward stadium attendance loyalty in the last four weeks of the remaining fixtures 2023 Betpawa Premier League season.

Today’s visit by the Betpawa Premier League Fan Agents to the El-Wak Sports Stadium to witness Legon Cities versus embattled Accra Hearts of Oak clash means fans could walk away with some amazing prizes as seen in other match venues.

Before kick-off at 3.p.m, various score lines were received by fan agents from both clubs fan base with each fan confident of a right guess and a win for their club. From the pool of opinions expressed by the fans ahead of the game, here are some excerpts

” Legon Cities will beat Accra Hearts of Oak fair and square. They are in our home” says Legon Cities staunch fan Amadu

” I like Legon Cities but l wish Accra Hearts of Oak will win today” says Abigail Semafako a neutral fan.

” if our players don’t win today, we must sack the coach and some of the players” says Nii Boye

At the end of 90 minutes at the El-Wak Sports Stadium, it was Legon Cities who compounded the Heart of Oak woes with a hard-fought win.

Kofi Kordzi’s 45-minute strike was enough as the Royals secured the important win to keep their chances of Premier League next season alive.

And the half-time goal, also ensured five (5) Legon Cities fans namely; Aggie Chelsea, Seth Yen, Fatayi Millah, Damase Ebenezer and Irine went home smiling with some amazing prizes such as blender,iron, speaker, music box etc. for predicting correctly the 1 goal to nil scoreline which the match recorded.

Thankful to the GFA and Betpawa for the brilliant initiative, some of the prize recipients were happy and encouraged the nation’s football governing body to do more next season.

” I’m so excited that l won this music box, l love it and l really want to thank the GFA and Betpawa” says Ebenezer.

” I’m a lady, most of my girlfriends discourage me from coming to the stadium but today l have a reward to show them. Thank you GFA, Betpawa and BAC Group” says Aggie Chelsea.
