Black Sherif Secures Second BET Nomination in ‘Best International Flow Award’ Category

Young Ghanaian singer and rapper, Black Sherif, also known as Mohammed Ismail Sheriff, has received his second BET nomination.

He is up against nine other rappers, including three from Africa: Aka and K.O from South Africa and Sampa the Great from Zimbabwe.

The remaining nominees are Gazo (France), Central Cee (UK), J Hus (UK), Major Rd (Brazil), Ninho (France), and Tasha & Tracie (Brazil).

The award ceremony will be recorded in Atlanta on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Black Sherif earned his first nomination in the ‘Best International Flow’ category last year but lost to Benjamin Epps.

In 2022, he competed alongside Benjamin Epps (France), Central Cee (UK), Blxckie (South Africa), Haviah Mighty (Canada), Knucks (UK), Le Juiice (France), Nadia Nakai (Zimbabwe), and Tasha & Tracie (Brazil) at the prestigious awards.

The ‘Kwaku the Traveller’ hitmaker is the only Ghanaian nominated for an award this year.
