Dafeamekpor joins ‘Hands Off Our Hotels’ protest, demands end to SSNIT hotels sale

The Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor, has publicly endorsed the “Hands Off Our Hotels” demonstration, which aims to stop the sale of state-owned hotels.

Speaking on Good Morning Ghana on Metro Television, Dafeamekpor stated, “The call for the transaction to be halted is in order.”

He further expressed his support for Okudzeto Ablakwa’s efforts in organizing a massive protest against the hotels sale.

Additionally, Dafeamekpor revealed that the minority caucus in parliament is also in full support of the demonstration.

“The call for the transaction to be halted is in order,” Dafeamekpor said. “Okudzeto Ablakwa’s agitation that is taking to the street in a massive protest, minority caucus in parliament is also in full support.”

This development comes as the debate over the sale of state-owned hotels continues to gain momentum.

Protesters and opposition lawmakers argue that the sale would lead to state capture by the ruling New Patriotic Party.
