December 7 elections should be idea and policy-focused – Bawumia

Presidential candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has urged Ghanaians to prioritize policies, ideas, and solutions in the upcoming December elections.

Speaking at the Eid-Ul-Adha celebrations at the State House in Accra, Dr Bawumia emphasized the need for a policy-driven discourse, stressing that the election should focus on candidates’ proposals for the country’s development.

“We should let this election be about the policies, ideas, and solutions that the respective candidates have for the country,” he said.

He also highlighted Ghana’s reputation as a peaceful nation, ranking among the most peaceful in West Africa and the continent.

The December 7, 2024, elections will see a keen contest between the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
