The Ekumfi Traditional Council has expressed disappointment at President Akufo Addo over comments he made indicating that he has ignored the people of Ekumfi and denied them the much-needed development because they voted against the New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary candidate Kingsley Ato Cudjoe in the 2020 elections.
The Council is also worried over the media banter on the autopsy report of late President Mills and is denying ever sending a delegation to the President to demand same and describes it as malicious.
The Traditional Authorities are demanding scientific data from the President to illustrate what the former MP did for the area before he was voted out, adding that an accurate data will justify the President’s claim.
Addressing the media in Ekumfi, the Omanhene of Ekumfi Traditional Area Odeefour Akyin VIII, described the comments made by the President as unfortunate and says the people of Ekumfi only exercised their democratic right and must not be used as a basis for punishment.
On the issue of late President Mills death and his autopsy brouhaha, the Traditional Authority denied ever sending a delegation to the Presidency to request for the late President’s autopsy report.
According to Odeefour Akyin VIII, the reoccurring media banter between the late President’s family over his autopsy report is a disgrace, projecting the family as disintegrated and thus urging them to solve the matter amicably.
