Ejisu: Several communities without power as suspected thieves attack ECG high-tension towers

Suspected robbers attacked high-tension infrastructure that the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) had erected, leaving several communities in the Greater Kumasi districts without power.

Eight other towers along the crucial transmission line that runs from Anwomaso BSP to Akyawkrom Substation in Ejisu collapsed as a result of the criminals allegedly removing bolts and nuts from the bases of one of the towers.

Numerous places depending on this vital electrical network have experienced a major power outage as a result of this sad tragedy, which has had far-reaching consequences.

Among the hardest-hit communities are Bekwai, Awiankwanta, Kumawu, Antoakrom, Manso Nkwanta, Jacobu Samfo-Aduam, Ejisu, Onwe, Besease, Asotwe, Abankro, Baworo, and their surrounding environs.
