Communication Director for Accra Great Olympics Saint Osei has called on the Ghana Football Association to give a Ghanaian the chance to manage the senior national football team.

Following Ghana’s consecutive group exit from the African Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced the sacking of Coach Chris Hughton and later announced a 5-member committee to search for a new coach for the Black Stars.

The Communication Director for Accra Great Olympics Saint Osei in an interview with Original FM’s Gideon Okyere Anim stated that the football regulatory body should have tasked the committee to purposely hire someone like Micheal Essien and Marcel Desailly.

He said the two legendary footballers have the knowledge and understand the dynamics of Ghanaian football.

“For me, I will propose Michael Essien and Marcel Desailly manage our football because of their experience and knowledge,“ he said.

“Going in for expensive coaches will not help us because they don’t understand our dynamics,“ he added.
