Ex-convict butchers minor over weed at Ofaakor

A 17-year-old boy is battling for his life after he was butchered by a suspected drug peddler.

The peddler slashed the victim with a machete several times after accusing him of visiting his house to sniff information that would lead to his arrest.

Widely known as Cobra, the suspect who resides at Black Gate, a suburb of Odupong Ofaakor near Kasoa in the Central Region is suspected to be a drug peddler even after spending some years in jail.

According to information acquired by Metro News, the suspect has always been alarmed over his possible arrest and placed the foster father of the victim, Abraham Ahiadu on his radar as the informant gathering information about him for use by state security.

On Wednesday, 11 September 2023, the suspect accosted the victim who passed by his house and accused him of being sent by his father to acquire information from him.

Although Abraham denied the accusation, the suspect pulled a machete and began to attack him.

An attempt to flee by the victim was unsuccessful as he fell unconscious.

The victim was rushed to the Kasoa Polyclinic where he received initial treatment and was later referred to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital.
