Five students of Potsin SHS arrested over violent attack

Five students of the Gomoa Potsin T.I Ahmadiya Senior High School have arrested for their involvement in a violent attack that led to the injuring of some 12 students of the school.

The suspects mostly form 3 students carried out a night time attack on SHS students at their dormitory in revenge of an earlier altercation between their colleague and a junior student.

The callous attackers led by Michael Donkor aka Skinnyman and some of his colleagues all in SHS three, took advantage of the darkness on campus immediately after the siren signaled for lights out and launched the strike on the unsuspecting SHS two students who were already in bed at the time.

They stabbed some of the victims with knives and other subjects and struck others with clubs.

In order to put their victims in an even more vulnerable situation these students blurred their vision with flashlights.

Even though the school’s security team and the Potsin Neighborhood Watchdog Committee responded swiftly the attackers successfully injured 12 of their colleague students who were rushed to the Potsin Polyclinic for treatment.

Metro News’ findings reveal that the assault was a revenge of an earlier altercation between an SHS 2 and SHS three student in which the SHS two student slapped his senior on Friday September 8, 2023.

Even though a member of the striking team had clandestinely hinted some of the SHS two students about the planned assault they kept the news to themselves until the event unfolded.

In a related development, another student who was returning to campus from town was also attacked by some unidentified persons who stabbed him and took away his mobile phone on late Saturday evening.

The school’s security team in collaboration with the Gomoa Potsin Neighborhood Watch Committee following the incident conducted investigations that have led to the arrest of these five students who have been handed over to the Gomoa Potsin police for further investigations.

Even though school authorities have remained silent on the happening Metro News’s close sources say parents of the suspects have been invited and a committee being set to look into the matter.

Metro News sources from the corridors of the school’s administration have confirmed the involvement of some of the arrested students in acts that contravened the school’s set of regulations and disciplinary actions taken against them sometime ago.
