Former candidate for president in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) special electoral college Kwadwo Poku is endorsing Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia as the next leader of the party in the 2024 elections.

In the upcoming NPP delegates’ convention, scheduled for November 4, 2023, Poku has urged the delegates to support Bawumia with a resounding majority.

Poku gave Bawumia his support when visiting his Accra campaign headquarters.

He asserts that the former Deputy Governor of the central bank is currently the best candidate to lead the party and support its maintenance of power, adding that the youth stand to gain more from Bawumia’s election as president of Ghana.

According to him, Ghana stands a better chance of flourishing under Bawumia’s leadership, including the development of jobs for the youth, based on Bawumia’s performance throughout the years in guiding the government’s digitalization program.
