GNPC GIFTS AN ULTRA MODERN SANITARY FACILITY TO TAKORADI TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

The National Oil Company, GNPC in a grandiloquent fashion handed over an ultra modern 24-unit sanitary facility to Takoradi Technical University on Tuesday March 26, 2024.

The provision of this facility is to help alleviate the University’s challenge with hygiene and sanitation posed by inadequate infrastructure with the University’s current lavatory stretched by the sheer number of students it serves. The facility comes with a mechanised water system.

At a short event to hand over the facility to the school, the Executive Director of GNPC Foundation, Dr Dominic Kwesi Eduah, conveyed to the school, the vision and mision of GNPC which is to consolidate sustainable corporate social responsibility strategies in the corporation’s business model.

Dr Eduah stated that this is one of the many and several developmental partnerships between the National Oil Company and Takoradi Technical University.

“You owe a duty of care to this facility and our continuous relationship is dependent on how well you preserve this lavatory for generations unborn” Dr Eduah stated.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Reverend Professor John Frank Eshun, expressing his relief and appreciation, commended GNPC for its reliability and foresight in investing in schools and by extension in the future of Ghana. He further thanked GNPC for coming to their aid.

The University authority promised to constitute a Facility Maintenance Committee composed of Lecturers and Students whose sole responsibility is to ensure the sustainable use of the facility.
