NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed his conviction that he can make a positive impact on the country, with divine guidance.

Speaking during a meeting with clergy in Takoradi on Thursday, May 2, as part of his Western regional campaign tour, Dr. Bawumia stated, “I firmly believe that I can contribute to Ghana’s progress. I trust that God uses individuals to bring about positive change in society… I believe that something good can emerge from Walewale, and if God wills it, it will indeed come from Walewale.”

The Vice President also urged the clergy to pray for peaceful political discourse, warning against politicians compromising the nation’s peace for personal gain.

He emphasized his respect for all religions, rooted in his upbringing, and pledged to collaborate with the church to address Ghana’s developmental challenges.

This campaign stop comes as Dr. Bawumia seeks to become the next President of Ghana, leading the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ticket.
