As part of activities to celebrate the 2023 Edition of Global Youth Day, the Hansen Road District of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church has donated some key items to the Nii Boi Town SDA Basic School.

Spearheaded by the Youth Ministry of the District, the items worth about GHC17,000.00 included about 8 pieces of White Marker Boards, 24 Ceiling Fans, and others.

The donation was made today, March 17, 2023, with a short ceremony at the school premises. According to the Youth Ministries of the district, the sole purpose of the items is to improve the school’s present condition in order to enhance teaching and learning.

The delegation to the school was led by the District Pastor of Hansen Road, Pr. Isaac Akwafo Amez, the Associate Pastor, Pr. David Nketiah and executives of the district’s youth ministries as well as some members of the executive council.

On behalf of the school, the authorities accepted the items and expressed gratitude to the church for the nice gesture of kindness as they mark the celebration.

The theme for the 2023 edition of the church’s Global Youth Day is “Love Is A Verb” where churches and individuals are encouraged to show kind gestures of love to people within our communities, especially educational institutions.

The Hansen Road district comprises of Hansen Road SDA Church, Arena-Accra; New Life SDA Church, Kwame Nkrumah Cycle; Asylum Down SDA Church; Ga Manshie, Jamestown; and Trinity Temple, Adabraka.

Global Youth Day is a worldwide initiative by the SDA Church, to challenge young people to reach out to their communities and live out the sermon they preach. The youth are also expected to determine social intervention schemes that impact lives in the way Jesus did.
