Several areas of the Volta Regional Capital, Ho, have been inundated with floodwaters after a continuous 5-hour downpour.
The storm, which occurred last Saturday caused havoc to several public and private properties in a community that is predominantly farmers.
Major drainage systems overflowed as a result of the extreme rains, which made things worse.
The flooding has affected several businesses and residential areas, forcing some residents to flee and save their possessions from the strong currents.
However, there is still widespread worry among residents about the possibility of a more intense rainstorm and the ensuing risk of floods.
