The newly-elected NPP parliamentary candidate for the Bawku West area (Zebilla Constituency), Dr. John Kingsley Kudugu. has promised to work with the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to bring everlasting peace to the Bawku area.
Dr. John Kingsley Kudugu stated that God knows the reason why he made a Mamprusi the flagbearer and leader of the governing party and that would open doors for them to work together as one family and bring everlasting peace to the Bawku traditional area.
He added that he’s aware that prominent stakeholders including the Otumfour Osei Tutu Ababio II, the Asantehene are handling the matter and he hopes that success would prevail in that peace process.
Dr. John Kingsly Kudugu is an influential personality within the Kusaaug Traditional Area and has played many roles in bringing development to that area. The prominent among all his initiatives is the educational scholarship fund which is dubbed ‘Bud Tis Buudi’ which is loosely translated as sowing for the family.
During the NPP primaries in the orphan constituencies on Saturday, December 2, 2023, Dr. Kudugu secured an overwhelming 545 votes against his only contender Dr Frank Adongo Fuseini who got 184 votes.
His contender is the former Upper East Regional Minister and former Member of Parliament for the area.
