Kpikpira Chief calls on bevonelent organisations to help bring development to the area

The Divisional Chief for the Kpikpira community in the Tempane District of the Upper East Region, Naba Danzuur John Tiiga ll, has appealed to the government as well as benevolent organisations to help bring development to the area.

Kpikpira is one of the deprived communities in Ghana with a poor road network, lack of portable drinking water, lack of quality health care, lack of basic social amenities, and many others. It is located at the border of Ghana to Togo.

The community is positioned at a position where when properly structured, it’ll serve as a business hub for Ghana. A good road network from the area can link some of the major towns in Togo.

Residents of the area are mainly farmers. They farm crops during the rainy season and rear domestic animals in both rainy and dry seasons.

The chief bemoaned the unemployment situation in the area and stated that it has caused most of the youth to go into social vices.

Naba Danzuur ll was quick to add that, the area would continue to be grateful to organizations like World Vision and Mcdan Group for extending hands to the community in the past.

He said the best school in the area was constructed by McDan Group whilst most portable water projects in the area were constructed by World Vision Ghana.

He, therefore, thanked the two organizations for their aid in the past and called for more from any benevolent organization that is ready to extend hands to the area.
