A lecturer with the Bolgatanga Technical University has been shot dead at Bolgatanga in the latest development to the Bawku conflict.
The lecturer, Alhassan Azumah is a native of Zemasa in the Bawku Municipality but resides in Bolgatanga.
He was shot severally at his residence in Sokabisi, a suburb of Bolgatanga.
A loud and fierce gun battle was heard throughout the night in Bawku after the news of his demise broke.
The body has since been deposited at the Bolgatanga regional mortuary.
Family members who spoke to Metro News indicated that the slain lecturer was threatened severally but it wasn’t given attention.
