Lydia Alhassan, Darkoa Newman and others to be vetted today

The Appointments Committee of Parliament is expected to begin reviewing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s recently nominated ministers today, March 5, 2024.

Minister-designate Andrew Egyapa Mercer of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture; Lydia Seyram Alhassan of the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources; Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah of the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development; Ophelia Mensah Hayford of the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation; and Darkoa Newman of the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection are among those scheduled to be vetted today.

The vetting will resume on March 5 and go until March 12, 2024.

Tuesday, March 5:

9 am: Andrew Egyapa Mercer, Minister-designate for the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture
10 am: Lydia Seyram Alhassan, Minister-designate for the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources
