NPP counters NDC allegations of foreigners registration in Pusiga Constituency

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Pusiga Constituency has responded to allegations by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) regarding the registration of foreigners in the ongoing limited voter registration exercise.

At a press conference, the NPP refuted the NDC’s claims, instead accusing the sitting Member of Parliament, Hajia Laadi Ayamba, of having a history of registering foreigners in previous elections.

The NPP pointed out that Hajia Ayamba’s own heritage is tied to the Fulani and Yanga communities, yet she is accusing others of being foreigners.

Furthermore, the party alleged that campaign materials bearing the MP’s image are being distributed in neighboring towns in Burkina Faso and Togo, suggesting a connection between the MP and these foreign nationals.

The NPP categorically denied any collusion with the National Identification Authority (NIA), the Electoral Commission, or any other state institution, dismissing the NDC’s allegations as unfounded.
