The Garu Constituency chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dan Michael Abugri, has passed on.
He battled with illness for about three months and gave up the ghost today, May 24.
He was on admission at the Tamale Teaching Hospital but could not make to life again.
Dan Michael is a local business mogul in the Garu area and also a politician.
He lost his first attempt to to win the chairmanship race in the previous elections and subsequently won it in his next attempt.
