PRESBY MODERATOR VISITS NORTHERN PRESBYTERY

The Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Prof. J. O. Y. Mante was welcomed by a delegation of the Northern Presbytery led by the Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Simon Kofi Yeboah, and the Lay Representative to the General Assembly Council, Prof. Francis Kweku Amagloh at the Tamale Airport for a six-day Pastoral Visit to the Presbytery. In a brief remark, he said this was going to be the last on his list as a pastoral visit to a Presbytery after visiting all the Presbyteries.

He said the Presbytery being the last to be visited was necessitated by events that were beyond the control of any man, but he believed all things work together for good for those who loved the Lord and that the best had been reserved for last.

The Moderator presented and dedicated an Evangelism Van to the Northern Presbytery during His visit to aid the Presbytery in reaching the many unreached souls for Christ Jesus.

The Moderator paid a courtesy call on the Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Abubakari Mahama II at the Gbewa Palace in Yendi. The Moderator commended him for maintaining peace in his kingdom since his ascension to the throne.

The Moderator gave bursary support of five thousand Cedis (5000) to youth members of the Congregation. He also promised an amount of five thousand cedis (5000).

He also gave an amount of Five Hundred Cedis (500) to a farmer in the Congregation to expand his farm. The church made many of such donations to support the Presbytery.
