Renewed Bawku Killings: REGSEC places temporary ban on riding of motorbikes

The Office of the Upper East Regional Coordinating Council has banned the riding of motorbikes in the Binduri District following the renewed killings in Bawku and Binduri.

The Council has also restricted the curfew hours in Bawku from 8 pm- 5 am to 6 pm – 6 am.

This decision was taken at an emergency meeting on  Monday, 22nd January 2024.

“Consequently, DISEC of the Binduri District Assembly is hereby directed to enforce the directive with effect from the 29th of January 2024,” the Upper East Regional Coordinating Council said in a statement.
