SDA Church launches campaign against LGBTQ+ activities

The Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church has launched a campaign against the acceptance of LGBTQ+ in Ghana.

The church describes the act as an abominable act and entreats leaders of the country to not cede to pressure from the international community to legalize the practice.

The Seventh Day Adventist Church is one of the religious organizations that upholds dearly the principles of the Bible and believes it is the basis for setting standards for human living.

The church at the back of widespread controversy among interest parties over pressing demands to legalize lesbianism, gayism, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) practices has initiated a campaign to speak against the act.

Pastor Richard Paa Kwesi Quaye the Ngleshie Amanfro District Pastor of the church, described persons indulging in the practice as having mental issues that require attention and is therefore urging leaders of the country not to succumb to pressures from the international community to legalize the act.

The church is also raising concerns about crimes committed against children, child labor, early marriages, and other forms of exploitation and is demanding that state actors enforce regulations against such acts in full swing.

According to the church, such acts hinder the quality development of children as well as erode them of their perfect future.
