‘Try Me’ — Sarkodie addresses abortion accusations in I’m Not Yvonne Nelson controversial book

Renowned musician, Sarkodie has, for the first time, opened up on his amorous relationship with actress Yvonne Nelson, addressing the abortion accusation and why he jettisoned her.

The rapper also set the records straight on other allegations leveled against him in the ‘I’m Not Yvonne Nelson’ book.

The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards ‘Artiste of the Decade’ spills it all in a 196-second song ‘Try Me’.

Born Michael Owusu Addo begins the song by stating categorically that he had no plans to issue a rebuttal; nonetheless, even if he intends to take some things to his grave, he has been dissatisfied with the author’s selective exposés.

The ‘Landlord’ could not fathom why the author he alleges has a long sexual past hence giving her the moniker ‘the girl for the streets’ could play the victim and court public sympathy in her tell-it-all book.

Sarkodie constantly mentioned in the song we live in a world where claims of women against men are always believed without empirical evidence.

Although Sarkodie admits to impregnating the NY Production boss, contrary to her narration, the Sarkcess Music CEO says he wanted the pregnancy to be kept but Yvonne objected due to educational goals.

He then claimed that Yvonne made the decision to abort the kid on her own terms rather than following his advice to have the procedure done by a trustworthy medical professional.

Thus she took advice from her friend against his wish.

Prior to releasing her book, Sarkodie claims the 36-year-old thespian had reached out requesting a meet up in her house but based on past encounters with her, he suggested an ‘opened location’ but Yvonne declined. The back and forth on the venue stopped them from meeting.

The father-of-two commends Yvonne Nelson for her ‘bravery’ albeit shares the same sentiment that she capitalized on his name to market her book because negativity sells.

Sarkodie in the closing verse divulges that he has grabbed a got a copy of the ‘I’m Not Yvonne Nelson’ book.
