Two persons have been retrieved dead from River Obuoho near the Pra River at Aduabeng in the Twifo Atti-Mokwa District of the Central Region.

The deceased, according to information gathered by Metro News, are a 12-year-old boy, Kweku Issac and 35-year-old, Wofa Prempeh popularly known as Koo Fante.

Report has it that, Wofa Prempeh, the 35-year-old victim met his untimely death upon swimming to rescue the teenager from the river which unfortunately led to him getting drown in the process.

Mr. Francis Odum, Assembly Member for the area narrated that the tragic occurrence has turned the community in a mood of shock and sorrow.

Meanwhile, the remains have been deposited at the morgue awaiting autopsy report.
