We’ve defeated Hearts of Oak, next is Kotoko – Tamale City Striker

Tamale City FC Striker, Sampson Eduku, has expressed confidence ahead of their matchday 29 clash set to be held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium against last season’s champion Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC.

Coach Hamza Mohammed’s side thrashed Accra Hearts of Oak 4-1 on Matchday 28 of the betPawa Premier League at the Aliu Mahama stadium.

Tamale City went into the game as one of the bottom-placed sides on the table but the win has given them a survival boost.

Speaking to Gideon Okyere Anim “Gatusso ” on Original 91.9FM’s Super Sports Show, Eduku who opened the scoring against the Phobians at home, said he and his teammates have gone past their last victory and have their sights set on Kotoko tie.

“We are focused on ending the season successfully ”

“As a team, we have high hopes of beating Asante Kotoko”

“It’s been a tough season, but we believe we can end the season on a good note”.

Tamale City are 13th on the league log with 35 points.
