Ya-Naa endorses Cultural Oneness Festival

The Overlord of Dagbon Kingdom, Ya-Naa Abukari II, has endorsed the Cultural Oneness Festival scheduled for December this year.

He made the endorsement when the team visited the Gbewaa Palace to seek his approval for the festival.

The Cultural Oneness Festival is being organized by the Taste Of Afrika, seeking to bring the diverse cultures of the Northern people together. The festival is also aimed at connecting Ghanaians in the diaspora, especially those whose grandparents were taken to the West during the era of the slave trade to their roots

The festival, which will run from the 6th to the 9th of December, promises to be an interesting one as many chiefs and traditional rulers within the Northern territories have pledged their unflinching support for the festival.

Overlord Of The Dagbon Kingdom Ya-Naa Abukar II through the registrar of the Dagbon Traditional Council call on all Paramount Chiefs under his jurisdiction to participate fully in the event in order to exhibit the rich culture of the Dagbon people to the world.

The story was not different when the team visited the Paramount Chief of the Soboba Traditional Area where the Chief, John Mateer Bowon Sakonim IV called on all his subjects to follow him to Tamale to join his father, the Overlord of Dagbon, Ya-Naa bukhari II to exhibit their culture for the world to know what they are made of.

Leader of the team of the Taste of Afrika, Tengol Kplemani was elated for the support being given by the traditional rulers to the upcoming Cultural Oneness Festival.
