Five people died instantly while five others sustained severe injuries after a minibus traveling from Bolga to Zebilla crashed to the ground at Lamboya, a suburb of Zebilla.

The Assembly member for Lamboya Electoral Area Mr. Azaaba A. Williams says “The mini bus with registration number UE 107-23 was on top speed. It overtook almost all the cars that were in that lane.”

“Unfortunately, one of the back tires busted and it struggled to the ground. Two passengers upon seeing the struggle broke through the windscreen and jumped out but unfortunately died instantly”.

The victims were conveyed to the Zebilla District Hospital

Those in critical condition have been transferred to Tamale and Bolga respectively.
