Aggrey-Darkoh appointed head of Civil Service

Mr. Evans Aggrey-Darkoh has been appointed as the Head of the Ghana Civil Service by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

He takes over from Nana Kwasi Agyekum-Dwamena.

Dr. Aggrey-Darkoh was the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs’ Chief Director prior to his appointment.

According to a letter issued by the Secretary to the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante, Dr Aggrey-Darkoh has 14 days to accept or decline the appointment.

“Pursuant to Article 193(1) of the Constitution and Section 6 (1) of the Civil Service Act, 1993(PNDC 327), I am pleased to inform you that the President has appointed you to act as the head of the Civil Service, pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice from the Public Services Commission,” the letter noted.

“Kindly indicate your acceptance or otherwise of this appointment within 14 days of receipt of this letter,” the latter indicated,
