Popular Ghanaian actress and video vixen, Rosemond Brown, also known as Akuapem Poloo, is currently in Saudi Arabia observing the Islamic pilgrimage of Umrah.
Umrah, is the smaller version of Hajj being observed by Muslims who can afford to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the rituals.
It is particularly important and rewarding during the period of fasting (Ramadan) especially in the last ten days of the thirty days of fasting and spiritual recalibration.
The holy Prophet Mohammed performed Umrah first before Hajj, therefore, Muslims all over the world value the pilgrimage to Saudi for Umrah as an important milestone.
Consequently, the spiritual journey, embarked upon by the celebrated actress, Islamically known as Haniya formed part of her spiritual journey and commitment towards elevating her status in the Islaminc religion which has given her love, light and life.
The pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia by the actress has been facilitated by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Moontouch Travel Limited Radia Adama Saani.
Explaining the connection between them, the entrepreneur and board of director of Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC) said, they met at the Central Mosque at Kanda in Accra while they were there together to observe an Islamic function and subsequently prayers.
“Initially I didn’t notice she was the one, but she greeted me Islamically (Asalamu Alaikum) and when I looked at the face again, I said waooooo, that’s the famous Akuapem Poloo”
“Subsequently, we had a brief introduction, and I used the opportunity to inform her about our company’s package to Saudi Arabia, and she expressed interest in going to the holy Kingdom to further explore the religion, experience the power of God and gain spiritual cleansing,” she narrated
Continuing, Radia Adama Saani noted that “Our company then approached a philanthropist in Islam, who showed so much passion, and compassion to help register the actress to join the trip to Saudi Arabia.”
“It was later that I called her to break the news to her, and she couldn’t believe it. Apparently, she had already secured the visa for the journey, so we had to take care of the rest of the expenses for the trip”
“When I called her, she thought I was joking, until when I asked her to send her passport and details for the registration.”
“She was dumbfounded and kept laughing on the phone, but later, she realized I was serious and she responded positively to my requests and submitted all her details”
“I must confirm that Haniya is not just a practicing Muslim now, but a committed one at that, and we all love her too”
Explaining details about the trip, the travel expert noted that the first point of call was Turkey through transit to Madina, where they spent few days to observe prayers in the first Mosque built by the holy Prophet Mohammed in Madina, and also visit his grave, and other departed souls who fought to sustain the Islamic religion.
“We did all these visitations before heading to Mecca where we are currently going to embark on the real spiritual uplifting.”
“For me, once Akuapem Poloo is happy, I am also happy. I know her connection with her maker has deepened and her conversion to Islam has been solidified and bolstered,” she concluded.
Reacting to her visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the actress herself said she has been sharing photos of her visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on all her social media platforms to tell her own story.
She described the feeling as unbelievable following the massive crowd witnessed, the love, and compassion shown her among others.
She confirmed her desire and determination to remain a Muslim due to the beauty and peaceful nature Islam is and that she has been more than welcomed by her fellow Muslims.
