The Chief of Akyem Akroso in the Eastern Region, Nana Kwabena Ofori II, has strongly denied claims on some media platforms that an NPP parliamentary aspirant and his thugs assaulted a media man Michael Botwe, a presenter with Accra-based Peace FM, popularly known as “Micky the Double Darling”.

The incident reportedly occurred during a durbar to climax the Atwea Festival in the community.

The Chief has cleared Mr. Alex Owusu Adjei, the parliamentary aspirant representing the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Asene Manso Akroso constituency, of any involvement in the reported assault on the radio presenter.

Speaking to the media, the Chief expressed worry over how the beautiful Ateweeaman festival they celebrated over the weekend was not heard in the news but rather propaganda agenda set by politicians is rather trending in the country.
