Changing the GAME, One Playmaker at a time.

DUNK GRASSROOTS, a local non-profit organization in Ghana, uses sports and culture to drive social change and promote education among marginalized youth and children.

Over the years, countless youths in Ghana have been empowered by the DUNK x GAME program to become leaders in their communities through sports.

These initiatives provide a unique opportunity for young volunteers to receive education and training, equipping them with the skills to become sports instructors and positive role models.

The volunteers are then able to lead weekly practices in street sports and life skills activities for children and young people in their local communities. This program not only benefits youth volunteers but also positively impacts the children and young people they work with, contributing to community development and growth.

DUNK and GAME are proud to be launching “Bring The A GAME” – an 18-month project that will use the power of sports to equip Ghanaian youth with the necessary tools and skills to create lasting social change. Our focus will be on advocating for the rights and inclusion of girls, young women, and children with intellectual disabilities, and creating community spaces that protect them.

In an exciting departure from previous years, we’re introducing “Place Based Leadership Development” – a new approach that will enable youth to develop leadership and advocacy skills. Through this approach, we aim to empower them to influence local government and other stakeholders on the importance of safe urban spaces.

We believe that the youth of Ghana have the potential to be great leaders and agents of change, and we’re committed to supporting them in achieving their goals. With “Bring The A GAME”, we’re confident that we can make a real difference in the lives of Ghanaian youth and their communities.
