Don’t study just to pass; learn to understand — Gabriella Tetteh to 2023 BECE candidates

The Central Regional Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Gabriella Tetteh has admonished students sitting for the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to study their books to understand their notes and not to study just to pass.

According to her, doing that will make them not forget what they learned.

As the nation undertakes a week-long Junior High School leaving examination, several Ghanaians including the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) have sent their goodwill messages and urged them to desist from examination malpractice.

Joining with her message on Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV on August 7, 2023, Gabriella Tetteh implored the 2023 BECE candidates to burn the midnight candle.

“I know some of my colleagues, Members of Parliament have donated mathematical sets to pupils in some of the constituencies and others have organized mock examinations for some of the pupils in their constituencies just to adequately prepare them for the exams,” the NDC Communications Officer stated.

She further said she is hoping there will be a sharp decline in frustrated students attacking invigilators for not allowing them to engage in various forms of malpractice.

Gabriella Tetteh wished the over 600, 0000 candidates sitting for the exams the best of luck.
