In an unprecedented feat, Dreams FC, the sole representative for Ghana in the CAF inter-club competitions, has achieved a remarkable milestone in their debut season.

The team’s head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, credits the success to the collective effort and open-mindedness that has become the hallmark of their strategy.

During an exclusive interview with renowned sports journalist Gideon Anim Okyere, affectionately known as Gatusso on Original 91.9FM’s Sports Show, Karim Zito emphasized the importance of embracing new ideas and advice from the technical bench.

Post-qualification, the team’s primary goal was to leave an indelible mark on the CAF Confederation. “Our objective is to make a positive impact in the CAF Confederation. We had to unite as a team and align our thoughts to achieve our aim,” the coach remarked. In a thrilling encounter, Dreams FC outplayed their Malian counterparts, Stade Malien, with a 2-1 victory in Bamako during the first leg of the CAF competition. This win has significantly bolstered their chances of securing a spot in the semi-finals.

Moreover, Dreams FC has etched their name in the annals of Ghanaian football history by becoming the first club from the nation to reach this critical stage in the past two decades. Their journey continues to inspire and put Ghana on the global football map.
